Over the last couple of weeks I've spoken to several people about losing weight and their diets while prepping for comps. Most said among other things their diet consisted of egg whites. Now If you're having a couple of egg whites a day for several weeks or more in the lead up to a comp that's a lot of eggs therefore a lot of yokes too. So what I'd like to know is where do all the yokes go, what do you do with them??

Also I've heard pasta is a good food to have when training. But why?? Why isn't it just as good to have rice. Wouldnt' rice be better than pasta, rice is natural while pasta is "made", from a natural substance sure, but it goes through more processing and has probably has heaps more additives than just boiled rice. How come rice isn't advocated as good food to have as a source of carbs.

If I don't use them in cooking anyway, I usually throw the yolks out. It's a waste, I know Rolling Eyes

And I probably eat the most heavily processed rice and pasta I'm sure. So I consider them to be as good as each other, although maybe pasta is more versatile for people on such diets which is why it might be more popular?

the yolks normally just get thrown out.

You can actually buy a litre of egg whites from most health food stores and even some super markets as well.

I have been told that some people use the yolks for cooking, but normally just thrown out

Throwing the yokes away seems such a waste - there are people starving etc. but if you're using a lot of whites I just wondered what you would do with so many yokes.

I never knew you could by just egg whites is it in liquid form or powder like Bali scrambled eggs.
