Is it easier to control your wieght in winter or summer Question
I thought summer cause I eat more salads an stuff wheras in winter i tend to eat more mashed spud, boiled spud, baked spud etc and hot drinks at night with bickies.

But I've realized this summer I've actually eaten more icecream and on the weekends can have up to 5 a day, you know the packets of drumsticks, magnums, etc. Im reckoning that this can't be good even though i eat salads.

so is there a good time of the year to control you weight and make diet changes.

you can eat healthy any tim eof the year

good food
good exercise a
and
good rest

remember energy in should be equal to or less than energy out

noot seasonal thing but a lifestyle change

Most exercise and nutrition experts believe its easier during summer. Few factors:

1.) Warm weather jacks up the metabolism.
2.) Most people has less appetite in hot weather.
3.) Most prefer light foods in hot weather.
4.) You're motivated to exercise more to look good at the beach.
5.) For sun lovers the season encourages you to spend more time outdoors.
6.) People tend to drink more water, which makes them feel fuller and eats a little less.

in the cold you mebalism is higher in order to keep your body warm

of course people sit in front of the heater in 5 jumpers and a jacket
warm clothing yes bt dont over do it

itshot and you drink beer, eat more icecream

but i will say again
if you lifestyle is to be healthy it make no difference wha ttime of the year it is

my metableism feels slower in winter and i feel the need to eat more of the "junk food" to warm me up when its cold, you know suasage rolls, pies, cheese sausages, chico rolls Thats Nice and then cause its cold don't feel like exercising. But like animal said less energy has to go in than you burn. I know the rules just don't follwo them :naughty:

the reason you eat more, beause you metabolism is higher, keeping you warm

and people space out and dont do your workout
why it cold
dont wont to go to gym its cold outside, so its not in the gym
or get home gym or learn to do exercise

healthy lifestyle a choice winter or summer

if your metabolism is running higher and youre eating more then it should remain the same, its burning what youre eating so no need to exercise. Sounds good to me Laughing

Animal from what you've said providing we continue to eat healthy throughout winter we should lose more weight because our metabolism is running faster, is that right?? I stack it on in winter but I also slow my training down. Hard to go out again on a wet rainy night once i get home from work.
Winjitsu you said you lose more in winter, do you change what you do in winter or maintain the same eating / exercising regime??

if you contined your healthy eating and training you yes
if you continued to eat only the same amount and did not wear 10 layers of unwanted clothing and not run the heater at high every single moment
because you body would chew up the energy to keep warm

people do this
eat the same or change eating to eat more
waer too much clothing
and like you said dont go to training because it raining out side
so unless you train out side go to training or change to a different sport to be inside

if you are going to say oh it raining i am not going to training and put on weigh whose fault is that Boo Hoo
