Hi! New to this board so excuse any problems with the post!

Saw the topic on Rhee TKD and thought i might add. From what i have seen they have their own style of tkd and so you can sought of call it a style more than just a name of a school.

From what i saw (knew a guy who instructs) they can be pretty hard core. I can't talk for all of them cause its a large school, but some of the guys i saw trained on the floor, did takedowns etc. Not what i expected from tkd.

Gday Welcome to the forum Baboon Man and thanks for your input.

I thought Rhee was sort of like a franchise name for the TKD schools rather than a style of TKD. I actually didn't know there were different styles of TKD, but I guess its just like Karate, Kung Fu etc. different styles emerge based on who taught whom.

Interesting to note that they did takedowns as again I thought TKD was predominantly a kicking style with some hand work to back it up. :smiling:
