im having trouble when someone is in my guard and then they stand up in my guard i can't bring them down again. It's like they're rock solid. no matter what i do to pull them back into my guard. i use all my strength but nothing. Funny thing is though when im in tehir guard i cant' do the same thing, i get pulled back too easily. How can i reverse this?

mat time

to stand in you guard you need balance and these come from where you position your legs
how do you get this mat time

one thing in guard dont let them post up that is hold their head high keep pullin git down before they get to standing

then learn to sweep if their are standing up as they move you may be able to sweep them

how to develop that mat time

thirdly
please ask your instructor he is there he can check and see the what where and how

and when its all finished mat time
practise techniques
practise against some resistance
practise by starting in that position and asked them to do the move so you are - in the hole (you are still wrestling)

if you want to learn it then do the move
you will mess it up many tiime isn the beginning
old saying after a 1000 time you will know technique
after 10000 time s there are no question
after 100000 times there is no defense

you head is heavy
if you pull it down it affect their centre of gravity and it harder 9notice i said harder not impossible) to stand up

as they are standing
play with their base
attempt to sweep them or trip them or even just pull them down into guard

if you can keep your legs locked and make them carry you
if you are light and even if you are not and they can stand hang on to them and make them carry you
take a lot to stand and get your balance whill carrying a heavy not positioned weight

i say again dont let some one stand
this starts on the ground
and it will
yes again
its mat time

we did not learn the whole alphabet in one hit
neither will you learn bjj in several lessons
and just when you think you have it some one will do it different of better of faster and back to the beginning you will go
mat time mat time mat time
give yuurself tiem to learn
